Monticello's Dalana Trumpy scored 14 points in the game against Argyle.
The Monticello Lady Ponies hosted Argyle on February 7th. With a 41-22 halftime lead, the Ponies went on to win it, 66-34.
Ellie Gustafson led Monticello with 23 points and 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks, while Jaden Zuber scored 15 points and had 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block and Dalana Trumpy scored 14 points and had 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 1 block.
On February 10th, the Ponies played at Albany. Trailing 18-39 at the half, the Ponies lost the game. The final score was Albany 73, Monticello 36.
Leading the Ponies with 21 points was Ellie Gustafson, who also had 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocks. Karlee Wilkins scored 6 points with 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block and Dalana Trumpy scored 5 points with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.
With a conference record of 6-5 (12-6 overall), the Lady Ponies are currently third in the Six Rivers East Conference. They played at Abundant Life/St. Ambrose on February 14th and will play at Barneveld on February 16th. Monticello has been seeded #6 for WIAA Division 5 Regional play and will host #11 Hustisford on Tuesday, February 21st. The winner of that game plays on Friday, February 24th, against the winner of the #3 Rio vs #14 Juda game.
