The WBCA is very pleased to announce the 2023 Girls Basketball Academic All-State Award to the outstanding individuals that attain a high level of success in the classroom.

Academic All-State is new for 2023, and requires that nominated athletes be varsity players from any grade level and hold a GPA of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). These players will receive a WBCA certificate from their school. Nomination information was provided to all coaches, and recognition on the list is dependent on coach nomination and possible verification with schools.

Belleville Academic All-State Honorees: Ava Benash, Maddi DeSmet, Toria Devoe, Addison Edge, Alice Elliot and Cora Funseth.

New Glarus Academic All-State Honorees: Alex Atwell, Isabella Brenkman, Melanie Fink, Elle Lancaster, Emma Martinson, Grace Nommensen, Megan Peterson, Jordyn Runde, Lindsey Schadewalt, Payton Schneider, Hailey Thompson and Brooke Warrell.
