The Belleville Wildcats varsity football team played a WIAA Level 2 playoff game in Darlington on Friday, October 28th. Down 21-6 at the half, the Redbirds kept the Wildcats out of the endzone in the second half to win the game. The final score was Belleville 6, Darlington 28.

Darlington scored early and often in the first half. Belleville's 6 points came near the end of the second quarter when Aidan Keyes found Kaden DeSmet for a TD. Jake Fahey's extra point attempt was unsuccessful.

Darlington scored once more in the third to secure their victory.

Aidan Keyes had 222 passing yards on 20 completions and 1 touchdown. He was intercepted four times.

Logan Derke led the team with 43 yards rushing.

Leading the Wildcats with 110 receiving yards was DeMarcus Conner, while Nate Meier had 45 yards, Kaden DeSmet had 36 yards, Andrew Ace had 25 yards and Logan Derke had 7 yards.
