Swim Team Competes at Baraboo

On October 29th, the Monroe/New Glarus girls varsity swim team competed at the Badger West Conference Meet, held in Baraboo. M/NG placed 6th out of 8 teams at the meet. The JV team finished in 7th place.

The 200Y Medley Relay team of Riley Hoesly, Maggie Piper, Delaney Lynch and Piper Faber finished 6th in the event, with a time of 2:03.91.

In the 200Y Freestyle, Megan Chapman finished in 6th place with a time of 2:03.51, while Kristina Foley finished 21st with a time of 2:29.34.

In the 200Y IM, Anna Zentner finished 6th with a time of 2:24.13, while Maggie Piper finished 10th with a time of 2:37.92.

In the 50Y Freestyle, Riley Hoesly finished 10th with a time of 26.62, while Danika Doll finished 19th with a time of 29.14 and Amalia Morrison finished 23rd with a time of 29.57.

In the 100Y Butterfly, Delaney Lynch finished 3rd with a time of 1:01.19, while Anna Zentner finished 5th with a time of 1:04.37.

In the 100Y Freestyle, Piper Faber finished 17th with a time of 1:02.78, while Danika Doll finished 20th with a time of 1:03.40, and Amalia Morrison finished 21st with a time of 1:05.14.

In the 500Y Freestyle, Megan Chapman finished 3rd with a time of 5:29.20.

In the 200Y Freestyle Relay, the team of Danika Doll, Maggie Piper, Amalia Morrison and Kristina Foley finished 10th with a time of 1:57.86.

In the 100Y Backstroke, Piper Faber finished 12th with a time of 1:11.79.

In the 100Y Breaststroke, Maggie Piper finished 10th with a time of 1:20.95, while Brinlee Chapman placed 20th with a time of 1:31.21.

In the 400Y Freestyle Relay, the team of Megan Chapman, Anna Zentner, Riley Hoesly and Delaney Lynch finished 3rd with a time of 3:47.38, while the team of Danika Doll, Piper Faber, Amalia Morrison and Kristina Foley finished 12th with a time of 4:20.56.

On November 5th, M/NG will be swimming at the Varsity WIAA Sectional at Sauk Prairie High School in Prairie du Sac.
