It was a splendid night for a baseball game last Tuesday night, July 19th, as the hometown Glarner Knight 3rd graders took on their arch rivals, the Wildcats from Verona, seeking the elusive undefeated season. The boys of summer played their hearts out in their last game of the season at the just remodeled downtown Glarner park baseball complex.

The boys displayed vast improvements in their skills since their first game back on June 16th thanks to the efforts of all their coaches. As you may or may not know, depending on whether you were involved in team sports when you were younger, completing an undefeated season was quite a remarkable achievement for these future stars. The boys had 0 wins, 0 losses (hence undefeated) and 10 ties (no keeping score was done so that the boys could maintain a very positive attitude during the summer).
