12U Sugar River Bombers Go Undefeated to Win the 16-team Sun Prairie Classic

The 12U Bombers went 2-0-1 in pool play and then 4-0 in bracket play to claim the championship. The Bombers offense scored an impressive 75 runs, and the combination of good defense and fantastic pitching allowed only 33 runs!
The Bombers started pool play with a 19-4 win against the Reedsburg Rays. Their second game was a defensive battle with the Palatine Stingrays that ended in a 2-2 tie. With the Bombers down 2-1 in the final inning, Reese Montgomery had an outfield assist to gun down a runner at home to keep the score 2-1! This proved to be a huge out because the Bombers got a lead...
