On February 8th, the New Glarus Lady Knights varsity girls basketball team hosted Wisconsin Heights. Up 32-19 at the half, the two teams were evenly matched on offense in the second half. New Glarus emerged victorious. The final score was New Glarus 52, Wisconsin Heights 39.

Leading New Glarus with 20 points was Lindsey Schadewalt. She also had 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Peyton Yaun scored 10 points and had 3 rebounds and 2 steals, while Grace Nommensen scored 8 points and had 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals and Elle Lancaster also scored 8 points while pulling down 3 rebounds, and had 1 assist and 2 steals.

On February 11th, the Lady Knights played at Marshall. New Glarus was up by 4 at the half, but Marshall came back on offense in the second half and won the game. The final score was Marshall 81, New Glarus 75.

Lindsey Schadewalt scored 30 points for the Lady Knights, and had 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals, while Alex Atwell scored 27 points and had 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks. Peyton Yaun scored 5 points and had 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal and Isabella Brenkman scored 5 points and had 1 rebound, 2 assists and 1 steal.

New Glarus played at Palmyra-Eagle on February 14th. They will wrap up their regular season with a game against Cambridge on February 17th. They’re currently in third place in the Capitol South conference with a conference record of 6-3 (15-7 overall).
