The Raiders wrestling team competed in the Capitol Conference Tournament on Saturday, February 5th. Overall, the team placed 4th. The eight wrestlers for the Raiders all placed in the top 7 of their respective weight classes.
Winning their weight classes were Blake Endres (106) and Mason Mau (126). "Both Mason and Blake had a great tournament by controlling every opponent. Both beat ranked opponents in the finals and will be going into Regionals with a lot of confidence," said Coach Pete Swenson.

Ryker Swenson was runner-up at 152. "To make the conference finals as a freshman at the 152 weight class is a huge accomplishment. His opponent was the #1 ranked guy in the state, so he will learn from his loss," said Swenson.
Brennan Keyes placed third at 120. "Brennan had a great tournament. His only loss was a 1-point decision to the eventual champion. His takedown attacks have been his biggest improvement this season," said Swenson. "He is looking great!"
Also taking top five was Carson Loshaw and Isaac Erb who placed fourth. "Both Carson and Isaac continue to improve in each match. Carson has missed much of the season with injuries, but I feel he is starting to find his way on the way. This is Isaac's first season and he has made so many improvements," explained Swenson.
Good luck to the Raiders as they travel to Beloit Turner on February 12th for their Regional Tournament.
