On December 30th, the Monticello Ponies boys varsity basketball team played at Randolph. Down by 15 at the half, the Ponies were held to only 11 points in the second half while Randolph scored 31 to secure the win. The final score was Randolph 70, Monticello 35.

The Rockets jumped out to a 19-4 lead in the first six minutes of the game and never trailed after that.

Jackson Eyler put 13 points on the board for the Ponies and pulled down 3 rebounds, while Kade Ace scored 10 points and Ryer Indergand pulled down 4 rebounds.

On Tuesday, January 4th, the Ponies played at Belleville. They will play at Barneveld on January 7th and host Juda on January 13th. They currently sit at the top of the Six Rivers East at 4-0 and are 5-5 overall.
