Wildcats Suffer First Loss of Season

On Friday, September 10th, the Belleville Wildcats played the Cubans of Cuba City. The Cubans dealt the Wildcats their first loss of the season, winning the game 32-7.
By the end of the first quarter, the score was tied at 0, but Cuba City scored twice in the second to take a 12-0 lead at the half.
The Cubans scored once again in the third quarter, and with a little over a minute remaining in the quarter, Trevor Syse ran it in from 1-yard out to put the Wildcats on the board. His extra point was good. The Wildcats threw two interceptions in the fourth quarter leading to two Cuba City TDs.
Belleville’s quarterback, Trevor Syse, was 17 or 31, with a total of 150 yards.
Dylan Posthuma had 42 rushing yards, while Patrick Samon had 27.
Anthony Nolden had 47 receiving yards, while Dylan Posthuma had 36, Carson Syse had 31, and Demarcus Conner and Andrew Ace had 18 apiece.
The defense had a total of 3 interceptions and 67 tackles. Dylan Posthuma had 6 tackles, Anthony Nolden had 4 and Trevor Syse had 3. The interceptions were by Carson Syse (2) and Landry Yarbrough (1).
Friday night, at 7:00 p.m., the Wildcats host Lancaster. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.
