The Raiders Soccer Team and kids from community get together for Library read-a-long at Library Park.
"To have a successful team, you have to have great players, of course, but you have to have good personalities and good people as well." - David Beckham.
During the pre-season, the soccer team, in collaboration with the Belleville Library, hosted "Sugar River Raiders Read." The team read stories with small groups of kids and enjoyed a friendly pick-up soccer game in Library Park.
The Raiders opened the season on August 26th, with a 1-1 draw to the Evansville Blue Devils. Gavin Boyum headed-in the Raiders first goal of the season to take the early lead. Evansville slid in their goal with only 3 minutes remaining in the game.
The team has a busy and exciting week ahead of them with the start of the school year and games versus Dodgeville, Lodi, and competing in the Big Foot Invite tournament as defending champs.
