NGM Football Celebrates Spring Season

Recently, the New Glarus-Monticello Football Team celebrated the 2021 spring season. The team finished with an overall record of 3-4/3-1 in conference play. During the Awards Ceremony, the 2020-2021 NGM seniors were recognized for their contributions to NGM Football.
In addition, there were the following award winners:
The NGM Football Team had two Honorable Mention selections from the spring season. Those players are Ben Copeland and Holden Latsch.
The NGM Football Team had five players that received 2nd Team All-Conference recognition this spring: Jaylynn Benson (kicker); Jaxson Darrow (offensive line); Rudy Wicker (defensive back); Cade Femrite (outside linebacker); Jackson Parman (wide receiver and inside linebacker).
The NGM Football Team had seven players that received 1st Team All-Conference recognition this spring: Rudy Wicker (return specialist); Peter Gustafson (wide receiver); Darris Schuett (quarterback and defensive back); Nathan Streiff (wide receiver, defensive back, and punter); Jaxson Darrow (defensive line); Cole Walter (offensive and defensive line); Dain Walter (offensive and defensive line).
This spring, the NGM Football Team played in the COVID Large Conference. Darris Schuett was named the Offensive Player of the Year for the COVID Large Conference. Schuett passed for 1,387 yards in 7 games and graduates as the all-time leading passer in NGM History.

The NGM Football Team had three players recognized as part of the WFCA All-Region team: Nathan Streiff (wide receiver and defensive back); Darris Schuett (quarterback); and Cole Walter (offensive line).
Nathan Streiff was named as an Honorable Mention All-State Wide Receiver by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association. Streiff finished the shortened spring season with 47 catches in 7 games. Nathan graduates as the all-time leading receiver in New Glarus-Monticello history.
Nathan Streiff was named the Most Valuable Player for the NGM team for the spring season and Darris Schuett was selected for the Captain's Award. The Coach's Award went to Ben Copeland and Rudy Wicker. Mason Martinson was also recognized with the Student Coach's Award for his efforts.
Nathan Streiff and Darris Schuett will be playing in the Wisconsin High School Football Coaches Association All Star Game on Saturday, July 17th, at Titan Stadium on the UW-Oshkosh campus. The game starts at 2:00 p.m.
