M/NG Softball Begins Regional Play

On June 1st, the Monticello/New Glarus softball team hosted Juda/Albany and lost in five, 1-19.
Juda/Albany scored four runs in the third inning, 13 in the fourth and 2 in the fifth to get the win. M/NG’s run was scored in the bottom of the fifth.
Kenna Pfeuti was 1x2 at bat with 1 run scored, while Katelyn Eyler, Harley Disch and Melanie Fink were all 1x2 with Fink getting an RBI.
Harley Disch pitched all five innings, giving up 23 hits and striking out 1.
On June 3rd, M/NG played at River Ridge, losing 7-9.
Jaden Zuber was 3x4 at bat with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI, while Chloe Kramer and Kenna Pfeuti were 1x3 with 1 run scored. Megan Peterson and Alivia Palmer scored the other 2 runs for the team.
M/NG is seeded #10 for the WIAA Division 3 Regionals and played #7 seeded Viroqua/Youth Initiative on June 9th. The winner of that game will play at #2 Dodgeville on June 14th.
