"Enthusiasm is common. Endurance is rare." As Capitol Conference champs four years and counting, the Raiders boys soccer team has proven they have both. The team finished the regular season 8-1-1.

The Raider Soccer Team was escorted through Belleville and New Glarus by the Fire Departments in each town after winning their fourth consecutive Capitol Conference Title.
Last Monday night, the Raider defense and goal keepers, Cam Kleiboer and Luke Brecklin, were impenetrable, posting a 5-nil shutout against Columbus. Goals were put in by Breckin Faber (2), Gavin Boyum, Logan Niesen, and Carter Siegenthaler, with assists in the game by Boyum, Downing, and Siegenthaler.
Traveling to Lodi High School later in the week, the Raiders clinched the conference title with a 6-3 win on the Blue Devil's home turf. Ryan Downing readily found the back of the net kicking in 4 goals, along with goals from Aiden Hatleberg and Breckin Faber.
The conference title celebration continued into the evening with both the Belleville Fire Department and New Glarus Fire Department escorting the team around the communities. Traditions are a big thing in small towns, and thanks to the FDs for making this happen.
WIAA post-season sectional play begins Thursday, May 6th, at 7:00 p.m., with the Raiders lining up against Evansville at Reddan Soccer Park in Verona, on the center Goodman field.
