Joe Quaglia focuses on winning conference at the sound of the gun. Passing the first mile at 5:14, we know a season best is in the works but Carter Scholey, a talented freshman from Belleville, leads the race early. Carter pulls away during the race then finishes in 16:47, Joe in 17:12. Quaglia is still gritting his teeth as his NGM teammates, Evan Guenther (17:24) and Tom Nelson (17:35), blast through the chute going 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
