Wildcats Looking Forward to Post Season

The Belleville Wildcats are finished with the alter- native 'regular' season. The kids have worked hard and are a cohesive, caring and responsible group. They have been positive and flexible. I also appreciate the spring coaches who have also been flexible in allow- ing the kids time to have a good experience in our alternative fall season. Thank you, and I'm grateful!
Our CC athletes have run in Clinton, Middleton/ Cross Plains, Brodhead and Monroe - which capped off our 'regular season". After that, we are looking forward to conference in Columbus Saturday, and hopefully a successful post season.
Our boys team is led by freshman Carter Scholey, who has placed in the top 2 for each meet, and has been steadily improving on his times. Our veteran runners, Jordan Wilder, Matthew Loshaw, Angelo Dohm and newcomer senior Michael Walker, have assisted in elevating our team scores. We have also seen strong races from freshmen Carson Loshaw and Aiden Campbell. Our senior, Jacob Kean, has been an integral part of the leadership on our team along with juniors Carson Heller, Cole Monroe, Zachary Thole, James Gustafson, and we have appreciated strong efforts from freshman Ben Remy and sophomore Will Gobel.
Our girls team is led by senior Tayler Yapp, sophomore Lainey Winkers and freshman Alora Spiegel. They have had strong races and haven't backed down from the challenge of running against Division 1 and Division 2 teams. We have also seen strong leadership and effort from junior Gina Salmela, and strong races from freshmen Emily Gomez and Ruby Gustafson.
We are looking forward to our postseason!
