Ponies Win 2nd Consecutive Regional Championship
Brings home second consecutive Regional Title, for the first time since '57-'58

The Monticello Ponies are back-to-back Regional Champions! The Ponies have been seeded #1 for the Sectional tournament and will face #4 Shullsburg on Thursday, February 25th, at 7:00 p.m., at home. The game will be broadcast live on Monticello School's YouTube channel. Front Row: Cade Femrite, Kade Ace, Evan Guenther, Logan Blum, and Lucas Heiser. Back Row: Head Coach Mark Olson, Blake Klitzke, Peter Gustafson, Tristin Flanagan, Rudy Wicker, Owen Ace, Jackson Eyler, Assistant Coach Gabe Zielke, and JVR coach Reece Rufer.
On February 19th, the #1 seeded Monticello Ponies took on #5 Faith Christian at home for the second round of the WIAA D5 boys basketball tournament (the Ponies had received a bye for round one). Faith Christian, a member of the Indian Trails Conference from Williams Bay, had defeated #4 Catholic Central on February 16th to advance. Monticello started the game strong and by halftime had a 38-16 lead over the visiting team. The Ponies won the game, 67-44.
