Knights Beats Richland Center After Double Overtime

Nathan Streiff had 13 points in the win over Richland Center. The game went into double overtime.
The New Glarus Knights boys basketball team played at Platteville on December 7th. Leading 36-17 at halftime, the Knights outscored the Hillmen in the second to win the game. The final score was New Glarus 74, Platteville 42.
Dain Walter put 18 points on the board to lead the Knights in scoring, while Carter Siegenthaler, with three 3-pointers, scored 15 points and AC Strok scored 12 points.
On December 8th, New Glarus hosted Richland Center. Down 11 at the half, the Knights rallied back in the second half and Nathan Streiff made a layup to tie it up at 71 to force the game into overtime. Richland Center led during OT and, at the buzzer, Bryce Stampfli hit a 3-pointer for New Glarus to push the game into a second overtime. New Glarus came out the other side as the winner of the game. The final score was New Glarus 91, Richland Center 86.
Mason Martinson was the high scorer of the game with 18 points, while Nathan Streiff, Carter Siegenthaler, who scored three 3-pointers, and Dain Walter all put 13 points on the board each and AC Strok scored 12 points.
New Glarus played at Lodi on December 11th. Ahead at the half but a slim 5 point lead, New Glarus lost momentum in the second half and lost the game. The final score was Lodi 67, New Glarus 56.
Leading the scoring for New Glarus was Carter Siegenthaler with 18 points. Dain Walter scored 13 points and Mason Martinson put 7 points on the board.
The Knights played Marshall on December 14th and will play Cambridge at home on December 18th and host long-time rivals, Belleville, on December 22nd.
