Ponies Begin Season Undefeated

Rudy Wicker was the second highest scorer with 14 points in the Ponies win over Albany.
The Monticello Ponies varsity boys basketball team opened their season with a home game against Parkview on Tuesday, December 1st. The Ponies were ahead 32-24 at the half and outscored the visitors to secure a 64-45 victory.
The Ponies jumped out to a 21-7 lead in the first six minutes of play and the Vikings fought back with a 17-7 run before the Ponies scored the last four points of the first half to lead at the break.
"It was an often times sloppy game, however we played a cleaner second half and were able to stretch the lead a little to win," commented Coach Mark Olson.
