Wildcats Win Battle Against Warriors

The Belleville Wildcats boys basketball team played at Brodhead on January 28th, losing 73-76. No further information was provided by press time.

On January 30th, the team hosted Wisconsin Heights. After trailing by 5 at the half, the Wildcats were unable to overcome the deficit and lost 77-80.

Carson Syse poured in 26 points to lead the Wildcats, while Sawyer Fahey scored 18 points and Kody Fahey scored 16 points.

On Saturday, February 1st, the Wildcats hosted Black Hawk. With a halftime lead of 41-20, the Wildcats cruised to an easy victory over the Warriors. The final score was Belleville 83, Black Hawk 41.

Kody Fahey led the team with 20 points, while Carson Syse scored 17 points and Sawyer Fahey put 12 points on the board.

The Wildcats, who are 8-6 overall (1-3 in the Capitol South) played at Waterloo on February 4th. They will play at Marshall on February 7th and Dodgeville on February 10th.
