The Monroe hockey co-op hosted the Madison Edgewood Crusaders on January 21st, losing 2-4.
The game was scoreless until the third period when Edgewood scored three quick goals. Monroe’s Hayden Roth, assisted by Cade Janecke and Payton Stauffacher, put the first goal on the board on a power play. Shortly after that, Janecke, assisted by Roth and Cooper Dreyfus scored the second and final goal for the team.
Heath Bear had 44 saves on goal for the team.
The team’s game against Viroqua on January 24th was cancelled due to the weather and they had a chance to redeem themselves against Edge...
