Hockey Team Defeats Oregon and Viroqua

The Monroe Cheesemakers co-op hockey team played at Oregon on December 10th, winning 4-3 over the Panthers.
The Cheesemakers were down by 2 in the first period when Hayden Roth, assisted by Cooper Dreyfus and Payton Stauffacher, scored their first goal a little over 8 minutes in. Payton Stauffacher, assisted by Brady Smith, scored goal number two a few minutes later. In the second period Cooper Dreyfus, assisted by Cade Janecke, scored a little over a minute in and about six minutes later, Hayden Roth, assisted by Jared Dillon and Payton Stauffacher, scored again. Heath Bear had 12 saves on goal.
On December 13th, the Cheesemakers played at Viroqua, winning 4-3. No other information was made available by press time.
Next up for the team is hosting Stoughton at SLICE on December 19th. They will host Madison La Follette on December 23rd and Chequamegon on December 28th.
