The Sugar River Track team competed at the Capitol Conference meet at Columbus on May 14th. The men’s team finished in 10th place while the women’s team finished in 7th place.

Men’s Results

In the 200M dash, JJay Wenger finished 6th.

In the 400M dash, Milo Hoesly finished 10th.

In the 800M run, Caden O’Rourke placed 12th, while Matthew Loshaw placed 15th and Sean Campbell placed 17th.

In the 1600M run, Conor McCoy finished 10th while Matthew Loshaw finished 14th and Tyler Stampfl finished 26th.

In the 3200M run, Adam Nelson finished 3rd while Jordan Wilder finished 11th.

In the 300M hurdles, Jared Schulting finished 4th while Sean McDermott finished 22nd.

The 4x100 relay team of Eli Dettwiler, Patrick Samon, Jacob Shrader and JJay Wenger finished 9th.

The 4x200 relay team of JJay Wenger, Patrick Samon, Jared Schulting and Eli Dettwiler finished 8th.

The 4x400 relay team of Milo Hoesly, Conor McCoy, Caden O’Rourke and Tyler Stampfl finished 7th.

The 4x800 relay team of Conor McCoy, Adam Nelson, Caden O’Rourke and Tyler Stampfl finished 3rd.

In shot put, Eric Segura finished 22nd, while Matthew Zierl finished 27th and Jeremy Kolasa finished 25th.

In the high jump event, Jacob Shrader finished 6th.

In the long jump, Jared Schulting finished 12th and JJay Wenger finished 14th.

In the triple jump, Alex Grignano finished 13th.

Women’s Results

In the 800M run, Tayler Yapp placed 7th while Dayna Karls placed 13th and Morgan Erstad placed 18th.

In the 1600M run, Molly Molencamp placed 12th.

In the 3200M run, Karley Michels finished 8th.

In the 100M hurdles, Emily Bartow finished 4th.

In the 300M hurdles, Emily Bartow finished 14th while Gianna Diaz finished 18th.

The 4x100 relay team of Heidi Wegehaupt, Ava Foley, Jade Halvensleben and Hallie Bartow finished 2nd.

The 4x200 relay team of Hallie Bartow, Lily Himmelmann, Erin Kittleson and McKenzie Rodebaugh placed 5th.

The 4x400 relay team of Emily Bartow, Hallie Bartow, Lily Himmelmann and Dayna Karls placed 7th.

The 4x800 relay team of Morgan Erstad, Karley Michels, Dayna Karls and Tayler Yapp placed 5th.

In the shot put event, Haiden Zimmerman finished in 5th place while Alexa Thayer finished in 11th place. Zimmerman finished 11th in discus while Thayer finished in 17th place.

In the high jump, Katie Bowers finished 2nd while Lily Himmelmann finished 13th.

In the pole vault, Kyla Jerome finished 2nd while Heidi Wegehaupt finished 10th.

In the long jump event, Ava Foley finished 3rd while Jade Halvensleben finished 15th and Kennedy Dreger finished 17th.

In the triple jump, Ava Foley finished 2nd while Jade Halvensleben finished 12th and Kennedy Dreger finished 14th.

On May 17th, a few track team members competed at a meet at Lakeside Lutheran.

“Even though it was a non-scored, non-medal meet, Coach Dennis and I had a great time with the kids,” reports Coach Willy Johnson. “It was an opportunity for kids to try a couple of different things, and for some, it was the last time competing this season. There were some PRs and even a distance runner winning the girls 200M [dash]. A blast was had by all.”

In the 100M dash, Hayden Judd finished 33rd and Connor Piper finished 35th.

In the 200M dash, Eli Dettwiler finished 3rd while Bryce Stampfli finished 5th and Alex Grignano finished 19th.

In the 400M dash, Matthew Loshaw finished 9th.

In the 800M run, Alan Woller finished 5th while Aiden Runkle finished 15th and James Gustafson finished 18th.

In the 1600M run, Jordan Wilder finished 2nd while Alan Woller finished 14th and Aiden Runkle finished 24th.

In the 3200M run, Alan Woller finished 7th.

In the 4x100 relay, the team of Hayden Judd, Connor Piper, Bryce Stampfli and Matthew Zierl finished 6th.

In the shot put event, Colin Derke finished 18th while Benjamin Viney finished 25th, Hayden Judd finished 28th, Andrew Remy finished 32nd and Drew Enloe finished 35th. In discus, Derke finished 16th while Remy finished 27th, Judd finished 30th, Viney finished 34th and Enloe finished 26th.

In the long jump event, Eli Dettwiler finished 10th while Alex Grignano finished 12th and Conor Piper finished 21st.

Women’s Results

In the 100M dash, Risandi Bartle finished 11th.

Merissa Erb won the 200M dash, with McKenzie Rodebaugh finishing 2nd and Molly Molencamp finishing 20th.

In the 1600M run, Alexa Thayer finished 9th.

The 4x100 relay team of Risandi Bartle, Megan Mahlkuch, Dylan Noll and McKenzie Rodebaugh finished 5th.

In shot put, Dylan Noll finished 8th while Megan Mahlkuch finished 14th. Mahlkuch finished 8th in discus while Noll finished 22nd.

In the pole vault event, Alexa Thayer finished 2nd.

Risandi Bartle won the long jump event.

On May 20th, the team traveled to Prairie du Chien for Regionals and Sectionals will be held in East Troy on Thursday, May 23rd.
