Ponies Win Over Central Wisconsin Christian, then Lose to Randolph in Regional Finals

Reece Rufer scored 18 points in the Monticello Ponies victory over the Crusaders of Central Wisconsin Christian on February 26th.
On February 26th, the #8 seeded Monticello Ponies boys basketball team hosted #9 seeded Central Wisconsin Christian for a Division 5 WIAA Regional Game.
The game was close throughout the first half, with Central Wisconsin Christian holding a 5-point lead at one point, but the Ponies came back and took a one point lead at halftime, 19-18.
In the second half, with 12:40 left in the half, the Ponies held onto their 1-point lead and then went on to outscore the Crusaders 34-3 the rest of the way. The final score was Monticello 67, Central Wisconsin Christian 35.
