Belleville high school senior Rachael Heittola scored her 1,000th career point in the Lady Wildcat's win over Waterloo on Tuesday, February 5th. Heittola is a three-year starter for the Wildcats who managed to accomplish this feat despite not playing varsity basketball as a freshman.

For her career, Heittola averages about 15 points per game and when asked about what her 1,000th point meant to her Heittola said, "It means a lot to be only the second girl to ever score 1,000 points (the first being Quinn Rear) for Belleville."

Heittola will continue her academic and basketball career at Division II Bemidji State University (MN) where she was offered a full athletic scholarship.
