Wildcats Shut Out Pirates

The Belleville Wildcats played at Waterloo on September 21st, shutting them out, 42-0.

Nate Mabis scored the first TD for Belleville, on a 3-yard run in the first quarter. Luke Kelly then ran it in from 4 yards out for the second TD. Kelly ran it in from 12 yards out for the third TD to bring the score to 21-0 at halftime.
Sawyer Fahey intercepted Waterloo's QB to score in the third quarter to bring the score to 28-0. In the fourth quarter, Waterloo was intercepted again, this time by Jaxson Pier, for another TD. Tyler Fahey then ran it in from 11 yards out for the last score for Belleville for the evening.
QB Nate Mabis passed for 71 yards and was 6 for 19. Luke Kelly rushed for 115 yards, making this his fourth consecutive game with over 100 yards rushing. Jaxon Pier had 29 receiving yards on two receptions.
"We had a great team game. Defensively, we played well, forcing many turnovers," said Coach Chase Ritter. "We have Homecoming this week, against a tough Cambridge."
The game against Cambridge kicks off at 7:00 p.m.
