The Belleville Volleyball team hosted an invitational on Saturday, August 25th. Teams participating included Dodgeville, Fennimore, Green Lake/Princeton, Madison West, Oregon, Palmyra-Eagle and Poynette.

Pool 1

In round one, Belleville beat Fennimore, 25-17 and 25-14. Dodgeville beat Madison West, 25-16, 22-25, 15-10. In round two, Belleville defeated Madison West, 25-14, 25-17 and Fennimore bested Dodgeville, 23-25-, 16-25. In round three, Belleville won over Dodgeville, 25-17, 25-19 and Fennimore lost to Madison West, 28-25, 25-19, 11-15.

Pool 2

In round one, Oregon defeated Palmyra-Eagle 25-12, 25-14 and Green Lake/Princeton lost to Poynette, 24-26, 22-25. In round two, Oregon won over Green Lake/Princeton, 25-14, 25-10 and Poynette lost to Palmyra-Eagle, 27-25, 25-19. Round three saw Oregon beat Poynette, 25-13, 25-19 and Green Lake/Princeton won over Palmyra-Eagle, 25-13, 25-12.

Standings after Pool Play were as follows: Pool 1: 1, Belleville; 2, Fennimore; 3, Dodgeville; 4, Madison West. Pool 2: 1, Oregon; 2, Poynette; 3, Green Lake/Princeton; 4, Palmyra-Eagle.

Semi-Final Matches

Belleville beat Poynette, 25-21, 25-14, Oregon won over Fennimore, 25-12, 25-13, Dodgeville bested Palmyra-Eagle, 25-20, 25-19, and Madison West lost to Green Lake/Princeton, 25-20, 12-25, 15-17.

Final Matches

In the finals, Belleville fell to Oregon, 10-25, 22-25, Fennimore beat Poynette, 25-15, 19-25, 5-15, Dodgeville won over Green Lake/Princeton, 26-24, 22-25, 15-8, and Madison West lost to Palmyra-Eagle, 19-25, 12-25.

1, Oregon; 2, Belleville; 3, Fennimore; 4, Poynette; 5, Dodgeville; 6, Green Lake/Princeton; 7, Madison West; 8, Palmyra-Eagle.

The team hosted Waterloo on August 28th, will play at Cambridge on September 4th and will host Marshall on September 6th.
