Knights Tied for First in Capitol South

The New Glarus Knights boys basketball team hosted Platteville on Tuesday, January 2nd, winning 72-62 after holding an 8-point lead at halftime.

Zach Feller scored 20 points for the Knights, and was 5-5 from the free throw line. Jaden Kreklow scored 15 points, while Cullen Brooks put 12 on the board and Trevor Gassman scored 11 points.

On Friday night, the team hosted Waterloo. The Knights were down by one point at halftime, but outscored the Pirates 46-28 in the second half to win the game, 88-71.

Jaden Kreklow poured in 25 points for New Glarus, including four 3-pointers and was 5-7 from the free throw line. Scoring 24 points was Zach Feller, who was 8-9 from the free throw line. Cullen Brooks scored 12 points and Trevor Gassman put 10 points on the board.

The Knights are in a three-way tie for first place in the Capitol South conference with Wisconsin Heights and Cambridge, and remain undefeated. They played at Mineral Point on January 8th, and will host Wisconsin Heights on Thursday, January 11th and then play at Marshall on January 16th.
