The New Glarus girls basketball team hosted Poynette on December 12th and squeaked out a 4-point win over the visitors. The final score was New Glarus 49, Poynette 45, with freshman Jaylynn Benson hitting two free throws in the remaining seconds of the game to seal the victory.

“As a whole, we did a much better job of boxing out,” said Coach Kim Burton. “We displayed some patience on the offensive end, working the ball around to get a high percentage shot.”
