Avalanche Fall to Sparta

The Monroe Avalanche Co-op hockey team, which is comprised of seven school districts from northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin and includes two players from New Glarus, played their first game of the season on November 18th, at Sparta. The Avalanche lost, 2-4.
The Avalanche was first on the scoreboard on an EV by Colton O’Connor assisted by Jared Cline. Sparta scored three goals in the second period before Travis Edmunds, assisted by Colton O’Connor scored on an EV in the third. Sparta then scored their fourth goal shortly afterwards.
Goalie Heath Bear had 21 saves.
The team will travel to Brookfield on Saturday, November 25th, and host Madison LaFollette at SLICE Arena on November 28th.
