Wildcats Beat Chiefs

On Friday, August 31st, the Belleville Wildcats hosted the Wisconsin Dells Chiefs.
Junior Nate Mabis ran for 40 yards to score the first touchdown for the Wildcats. Mabis ran another touchdown in, this time for 15 yards. Wisconsin Dells then wrapped up the first quarter by getting on the scoreboard. Nate Mabis once again scored in the second quarter. Wisconsin Dells then answered with another score. The score at halftime was Belleville 20, Wisconsin Dells 13.
In the fourth quarter, Wisconsin Dells scored a touchdown and attempted a two-point conversion to tie the game up, but that attempt failed. Dalton Fahey returned a kickoff for an 85-yard gain and the Wildcats' two-point conversion was successful. The Wildcats defeated the Chiefs, 28-19.
Quarterback Nate Mabis was 14 for 27 and passed for 133 yards. Mabis also led the team in rushing, with 87 yards. Luke Kelly had 52 yards rushing and Sawyer Fahey had 27 yards rushing. Drew Shrader led the team in receiving yards, with 82. Dalton Fahey had 37 yards receiving and Will Smith had 12 yards receiving.
The Wildcats head to Lake Mills on Friday, September 8th. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.
