The Sugar River track team hosted the Sugar River Invitational in Belleville on April 4th.

Boys Results

Julian Lutz took third place in the 100-Meter run, with a final time of 12.61. Coming in at sixth place was Demarious King with a time of 13.06, and Trent Sigafus placed ninth with a time of 13.44. Hayden Askey (13.59), Eric Zielinski (15.16) and Robert Chenoweth (15.78) also ran the race.

In the 200-Meter race, Demarious King placed sixth with a time of 26.61. Placing tenth was Tony O’Connor, with a time of 27.97. Hayden Askey (31.00) and Eric Zielinski (32.37) also participated.

Coming in at third place in the 400-Meter race was Royce Clark, with a time of 1:03.57. Hunter Olson placed fourth in the event, with a time of 1:07.47.

Hunter Olson placed third in the 800-Meter run, with a time of 2:43.14. Coming in at fifth place was Lucas Fink with a time of 3:06.15. Levi Dearth was right behind Fink, finishing in 3:06.92.

In the 4x100 Relay, the team of Eric Zielinski, Hayden Askey, Robert Chenoweth and Eric O’Connor took third place with a time of 56.67.

In the Shot Put event, Matthew Zierl placed third with a final of 28-00.00. Placing fifth was Eric O’Connor, with a 27-08.00. Reis Weeden placed eighth with a final of 20-10.00. Zierl, O’Connor and Weeden placed fourth, fifth and sixth in the Discus event. Zierl’s final was 69-11, O’Connor’s final was 61-05, and Weeden’s final was 55-11.

In the Long Jump, Julian Lutz placed fifth with a final of 14-07.00. In sixth place was Robert Chenoweth, with a final of 12-09.00.

Girls Results

In the 100-Meter race, Gianna Diaz placed third with a final of 15.62. Megan Mahlkuch placed fifth with a time of 16.35. Right behind Mahlkuch in sixth place was Angelina Prisot, with a time of 16.39.

In the 200-Meter race, Megan Bellefeuille (33.21) and Angelina Parisot (34.37) both participated.

Placing seventh in the Shot Put event was Melissa Messer with a final of 18-05.00. Messer also placed seventh in the Discus, with a final of 37-05.

In the Long Jump, Britney Markhardt placed fifth with a final of 10-06.00.

The track team hosted a meet on April 11th, and on April 13th will attend the Blue Jay Invite in Cambridge.
