Monticello Falls to Benton/Shullsburg in Double Header

The Ponies baseball team hosted Benton/Shullsburg on Friday for a double header. The Ponies lost the first game, 1-11, and lost the second game as well, 1-14.

"There were good things that happened in these two games that the score doesn't tell," explains Coach Scott Smice. "I saw several pitchers, and everyone got in to play and bat. The top of the order put the bat on the ball, our defense was very good. Pitchers need to settle in a bit and force them to hit their way on. This will come with more experience on the mound."

The Ponies hosted Argyle on April 10th, and will play at Bellev...
