Even with the 115 points accumulated by Kurt Beutel and Jack Gehin, the J&M Bar River-Rats couldn’t overcome this week’s low score of just 80 points scraped together by Tracy Beutel and Jim Gehin. Nor was Ernie Sarbacker and Al Legler’s 83 points sufficient to gnaw away at Steve Thoni and Don Cleary’s (Hooterville-Express) 112 points. The Express takes this one by 29.

Speaking of low scores, amassing just 80 points, Steve Vogt and Pat Maclean (Hooterville-Shufflers) tied Tracy and Jim for this week’s low score. But in this case no harm no foul as none of the Pranksters of Shenanigans broke the 100-point barrier. With the Pranksters unable to pull the rabbit out of the hat, the Shufflers never trailed and led by as many as 54 at the half. Pranksters 370, Shufflers 389.

Struggling, Monte’s drops their fifth match of the half and any hopes of playing in the championship match. With just three weeks remaining in the regular season and their 4-point win over Monte’s, New Glarus is mathematically still in the hunt, along with eight of the other nine teams.

Unlike the Badgers, no overtime was needed in Mount Horeb or Barneveld. Barb Judd and Don Williams recorded 116 points for Kleeman’s in their 22-point win over the Norsk-Cowboys. But high score for the week goes to Jerome Krantz and Greg Stutz with their 118 points pumped out of the Screaming Eagles. Chuck Jones and Pat Collins also contributed 110 points toward the Pipe-Benders’ 32-point victory.
