Sugar River Youth Wrestlers Travel to Janesville, Kenosha and Mineral Point

Cayson Helwig captured First Place at Kenosha's "Battle for the Belt" KWA Bulldog tourney, going 3-0 with one pin.

On Sunday, February 5, eighteen Sugar River youth wrestlers took to the mats in Janesville and Kenosha.

Individual Results

For Janesville, Kaleb Weber was the lone Champion, going 3-0-0; Brody Funseth, 2nd, 3-1-1; Lukas Loshaw, 3rd, 2-2-2; Carson Loshaw, 2nd, 3-1-2; and Holden Latsch, 3rd, 2-2-1.  Nice job guys!

Traveling to Kenosha, where there were over 600 wrestlers from four states, was Adam Mercado, 7th, 1-2-0; Lincoln Bair, 5th, 2-2-1; Blake Finley, 3rd, 3-1-0; Blake Endres, 8th, 0-3-0; Danny Finley, 5th, 2-2-0; Trei Udelhoven, 4th, 2-2-1; Eli Leonard, 7th, 1-2-1; Aiden Hatleberg, 3rd, 3-1-0; Ryker Swenson, 5th, 2-2-1; Zecheriah Bair, 4th, 2-2-0; Cayson Helwig, 1st, 3-0-1; Madox Mau, 7th, 1-2-1; Joshua Bair, 7th, 1-2-0.  Some tough wrestling guys...way to go! 

Two boys wrestled Sunday, February 6, at Mineral Point for Sugar River. Cole Meighan took 1st place and Mason Wunderlich took 4th.  Nice job boys.  Another tough tournament with over 400 kids attending!

Next week they travel as a team to Muscoda to compete in the Riverdale Team Duals.
