Wolf Named to 2016-17 UW-Whitewater Women's Swimming and Diving Roster
Anna Wolf, a graduate of New Glarus High School, will compete for the 2016-17 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's swimming and diving team, which began its season last Saturday at the All-Wisconsin Invitational.
Wolf, a freshman at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in Business and Econ and is the daughter of Kris and Terry Wolf, Blanchardville.
Wolf's coach on the Monroe/New Glarus High School Swim Team, Linda Moser, said, "Anna's work ethic and positive attitude will be an asset for the team. When Anna was in the water she was focused and gave it her all. She always wanted to know what she could do better. The way she encouraged and interacted with her teammates was something we should all want to emulate!"
The Warhawks enter the new season coming off a third-place finish at last year's Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships. Graduated senior Sierra Becker was named WIAC Diver of the Meet for the second time in her career after sweeping the 1- and 3-meter diving events. She went on to become the program's first-ever four-year All-American after placing 10th in the 1-meter dive at the NCAA Division III Championships.
Joel Rollings is back for his 11th year as head coach of both the men's and women's programs. Under Rollings' leadership, UW-Whitewater has set 49 school records and earned 22 individual conference titles and 12 All-America honors, including two national individual championships.
