Bats Live! – Nature's Nighttime Superheroes
The Friends of New Glarus Woods State Park are pleased to announce that on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 7:30 p.m., Jennifer Redell, WDNR Bat Biologist, will unearth the mysteries of Wisconsin’s bats, explain why they are superheroes and share what the WDNR Bat Program is doing in response to a devastating disease known as white-nose syndrome.
Jennifer will be accompanied by live bat ambassadors!
The program will be presented at the Picnic Shelter on Hwy NN at the New Glarus Woods State Park. This is the first in a series of Naturalist programs that will be presented Saturday nights at the New Glarus Woods State Park during 2016. The schedule of events is available online at http://www.newglaruswoods.org.
This event is free. Parking is available in the State Park with either a daily or annual Wisconsin State Park sticker. http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/admission.html
