Belleville Bobcat Youth Football Inc.
Informational Meeting/Registration
An Informational Meeting for the 2016 Fall Football Season will take place on Thursday, April 7th, at the Belleville High School Commons. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m.
Any boy or girl who will be in grades 4-8 this fall, and either attends or resides in the Belleville School District, can participate. To register please go to our website at http://www.bbobcatyouthfootball.com and click on Register in the upper right hand corner to start the process.
We need to get a player count for each grade level so we can determine what we will have for teams in the fall. If you are interested in playing and do not want to register at this time, please email Peggy Meyer, Registration Coordinator, at DPMeyer556@charter.net with the player’s name, contact information and the grade they will be in the fall. Peggy can also answer any questions you may have with the registration process.
This will be the Bobcat’s 24th season. Belleville Bobcat Youth Football Inc. is a member of the Dane County Area Youth Football League (DCAYFL), which has been in existence for over 30 years. The DCAYFL is a member of USA Football (www.usafootball.com), which is a national organization backed by the NFL. Belonging to USA Football allows all the programs in the DCAYFL to be a member of Heads Up Football. Through the education and training of this program, all youth football injuries have been dramatically reduced.
Safety is the number one issue in this instructional league where we teach the players the fundamentals of the game of football. The kids play against players of comparable weight and age with top-notch equipment. Teams will be based on the number of players at each grade level.
Games are played according to high school tackle football rules, with WIAA certified officials. There are modified rules for kick offs, punts, field goals and extra points. All of our coaches are certified and trained through USA Football and are also background checked.
Our season runs from the beginning of August to the end of October. Practices are usually weeknights, from 5:20 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Games are usually on Saturday mornings, beginning after Labor Day.
If you have any further questions about the Bobcat program, please contact Steve Meier, Director, at (608) 424-3589 or by e-mail at meier_ythfootball@yahoo.com.
The 2015 season was very successful for all three of our teams. We look forward to having you join the Bobcat Family and be a part of the fun for 2016.
