Maire and Gilbertson Place First at Belleville Invitational

On Saturday, September 19, senior Tyler Gilbertson and junior Noelle Maire each won the Belleville Invite; Gilbertson in the boys race with a time of 17:36.48, and Maire on the girls side at 19:46.11. Overall, the boys took second place with 78 points, behind Dodgeville/Mineral Point, and the girls finished in third place.
Senior Justin Edge was the second Belleville boys runner to cross the line in 11th place with a time of 19:15.14. Junior Jordan Hosler took 17th at 19:49.55, and right behind him was freshman Caden O'Rourke with a time of 19:54.38. Freshman Josh Bowers had a time just over 20 minutes at 20:54.92, while freshman Gary Salmela and sophomore Evan Reifert both finished just less than 23 minutes.
Junior Rachel Uebelacker, freshman Alexis Walker, and junior Britney Markhardt all finished under 27 minutes and in 18th, 19th, and 20th place. Junior Clarice Loeffelholz was the fifth runner for Belleville to finish the race at 27:00.56. She was followed by freshman Mili Julian with a time of 27:28.69 and junior Brittany Kiefer with a time of 27:36.78.
