NG-M Football Falls to Wautoma, 57-29

 


Last Friday at home, the New Glarus-Monticello football team was beaten by Wautoma, 57-29.

NG-M had 46 rushes for 256 yards and 147 passing yards while Wautoma accumulated 35 rushes for 319 yards and 195 passing yards.

Leading the Knights was Trey Taylor with 21 rushes for 120 yards.

John Chenoweth had one touchdown and one interception, along with being six for ten totaling 147 yards.

Tanner Jelle scored two touchdowns and carried the ball 14 times for 43 yards.

According to Head Coach Desie Breadon, “We played really well the first half then didn’t finish the second half. We had a couple more starters out with injuries this week. We are improving still and should start getting more guys back healthy this week.We should be at about full strength for the start of conference in two weeks.”
