Lady Wildcats Tame Vanguards

The Belleville girls basketball team hosted Wisconsin Heights on February 1st. Up by 11 at the half, the Lady Wildcats went on to win the game. The final score was Belleville 73, Wisconsin Heights 68.
Rachael Heittola poured in 34 points to lead the Wildcats, along with having 22 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 5 blocks. Jenna Shrader scored 15 points, had 7 rebounds and 3 assists, Sophia Grady scored 11 points, had 4 rebounds and 2 assists, and Ava Foley scored 10 points, had 2 rebounds and 2 steals.
On February 2nd, the team played at Potosi/Cassville. It was a close game throughout the first half and Belleville was on top by 4 at halftime. In the second half, Potosi/Cassville outscored the Lady Wildcats by a single point, but Belleville hung on and won the game. The final score was Belleville 64, Potosi/Cassville 61.
Leading the Lady Wildcats was Rachael Heittola with 16 points, 15 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 1 blocks. Erin Kittleson scored 15 points and had 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 blocks and Jenna Shrader scored 12 points and had 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 1 block.
The team plays at Marshall on February 7th and then hosts Deerfield on February 12th and Pecatonica on February 14th.
