Thank you Seniors, Bryce (5), Tony (24) and Dan (12), for your dedication, inspiration and hard work over the last four years!

"I've never been more proud of a group than I was on Friday night," said Coach Jarod Wichser about the Belleville boys basketball team's win over Wisconsin Heights on February 17th. "We trailed Heights 30-9 in the first half as they were out executing and out hustling us.  We knocked down a shot and Tony O'Connor ripped down two consecutive offensive rebounds on two consecutive possessions and it just ignited our boys."

After the first half of play, the Wildcats were down by 7 points at halftime.

"We began to identify their shooters earlier in possessions and we limited their second chance scoring opportunities.  We played within ourselves offensively and executed our stuff, which led to great looks.  We trailed by 2 with under two minutes left and we drew up a look for Dan Meier to get a three.  Heights switched one of our passes but instead of panicking, we continued to work until we got open.  After that Dan got a great screen from Brock which freed him up and he just drilled it," said Wichser.

The Wildcats won the game held on Senior Night, with the final score being Belleville 62, Wisconsin Heights 60.

Leading the Wildcats in scoring was Drew Shrader, with 19 points. Brock Kelly added 13 points to the board and Cole Myers scored 11 points.

"It was an incredible come from behind win for our boys," said Wichser.

The team plays at Watertown Luther Prep on February 23rd, at 7:30 p.m., and will play a WIAA regional game at home against Cuba City on February 28th at 7:00 p.m.
