The game heated up in the third quarter, with the Wildcats' Ogden York scoring a touchdown and Cade Martin attempting a successful two-point conversion. Westfield then scored a touchdown of their own, but were unsuccessful at their two-point conversion attempt. Isaac Morrick scored the second touchdown for the Wildcats, resulting in a three yard gain.

"We had a tough, physical game. A defensive battle ended with only a few big offensive plays that were the difference in the game. Multiple defensive stands halted Westfield's offense to allow Freshman QB Mike Bracken to settle in. The offensive line sprung Cade Martin for several big runs. This was a hard fought game against a good team," said Coach Chase Ritter.

Senior RB Cade Martin ended the game with 151 yards rushing and one touchdown. Ogden York, the freshman FB rushed for one yard for one touchdown. Freshman QB Mike Bracken passed for 62 yards.

With a 7:00 p.m. kickoff, the Wildcats will host the NGM Knights on Friday, September 16th.
