On January 3, 2016, Robert Chenoweth competed with the Advance School of Wrestling Team and came away with 3 pins of opponents from Stoughton, Slinger, and Waunakee.
The Sugar River Raider youth wrestlers took to the mats again this past weekend in several locations. Stoughton had their annual "Tough-Man" tournament Saturday the 16th. Six boys participated there with Coach Swenson present. Here are wrestlers and results: Konek Swenson, 4th, 0-3-0; Joshua Bair, 2nd, 2-1-0; Blake Endres, 2nd, 2-1-2; Trei Udelhoven, 2nd, 2-1-0; Lincoln Bair, 4th, 0-3-0; and Ryker Swenson, 2nd, 2-1-2. Nice going boys!
Several traveled to Brodhead Saturday as well, but results were not complete at time of compiling article. Results next week.
On Sunday the 17th, seven ventured to Deforest for their annual Gold Medal tournament with Coach Leonard present. Here are the wrestlers with results: Eli Leonard, 1st, 3-0-2; Cayson Helwig, 3rd, 1-2-1; Trei Udelhoven, 1st, 3-0-1; Lincoln Bair, 3rd, 2-1-0; Aiden Hatleberg, 2nd, 2-1-2; Avery Lettman, 3rd, 1-2-0; and Robert Chenoweth, competing for Advance School of Wrestling, 5th, 0-4-0. Some very tough wrestling out on the mats!! Way to go Raiders.
