Wildcats Score During Last Seconds to Defeat Knights

With 2.2 seconds left in the game against New Glarus, Nate Meier scores. Belleville won, 58-56.

On January 9th, the Belleville Wildcats hosted Poynette, losing by a single point. The final score was Poynette 68, Belleville 67.

Carter Scholey led the Wildcats with 15 points and had 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals, while Everett Clark scored 11 points and had 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 block and Kaden DeSmet and Jack Erickson scored 10 points apiece. DeSmet had 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 1 block while Erickson had 1 rebound, 2 assists and 3 steals.

On January 12th, the first of two Highway 69 rival games this season took place in Belleville. As usual, it was an extremely competitive game and by halftime New Glarus was leading 33-23. With 2.2 seconds left in the game, Belleville's Nate Meier scored to help his team win the game. The final score was Belleville 58, New Glarus 56.

Leading the Wildcats with 17 points was Nate Meier, who also had 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. DeMarcus Conner scored 14 points, with 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals, while Kaden DeSmet and Jack Erickson each scored 10 points. Erickson had 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal while DeSmet had 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal.

Ethan Friedrich led New Glarus with 21 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal, while Brett Warrell scored 12 points and had 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals and Max Parman scored 7 points with 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.

On January 17th, the Wildcats hosted Cambridge. They will host Marshall on January 20th, Dodgeville on January 24th and will play at Waterloo on January 26th.
