Jones, Nolden Highlight Four Buccaneer Football Players on All-MWC Team

 

Highlighted by a pair of First Team repeat selections and another earning his third recognition, the Beloit College Football team placed four players on the 2015 All-Midwest Conference Football team. 

Senior safety Antonio Jones and junior wide receiver Mike Nolden were both repeat First Team selections.  Junior running back Mason Dixon was named to the team for the third time, the second as a Second Team honoree.  Freshman offensive lineman Jake Karlicek earned Second Team recognition in his first collegiate season.

Nolden, from Belleville, led the team in receiving with 63 catches for 841 yards and 10 touchdowns.  The 10 touchdowns receptions were the second-most in the MWC and are the second-most in a season in Beloit history, while the 63 catches were fifth in the Conference and are the third-most ever at Beloit.  The 841 yards receiving were third in the MWC and is the fifth-most in a season at Beloit.  For his career, the MWC Offensive Player of the Week on September 21 has 133 receptions, fourth-most at Beloit, for 1,716 yards, fifth-most, and 21 touchdowns, the second-most ever.

The Bucs finished 2015 3-7 overall, 1-4 in the MWC North Division.
