There's certainly no shortage of things to do up in the Dells – whether it's hanging out in the water at Kalahari or Chula Vista, or perhaps bouncing the day away on the trampolines at Knuckleheads. But last Tuesday, the best game in town was on the turf of Wisconsin Dells High School.

The Sugar River Raider boys came to town to face the undefeated Wisconsin Dells varsity soccer team (9-0-0). The Dells connected passes and kept possession early taking a quick 0-1 lead in the 6th minute. The score stayed 0-1 at half.

The tide changed in the second half with Ryan Downing putting in the first Raider goal, assisted by Ryan Hagen. Downing returned the favor and assisted Hagen with his first goal of the night at 49:30 putting the Raiders up 2-1. Ryan Hagen later scored the back-to-back goal this time assisted by Brycen Teasdale.

With 8 minutes remaining, the Dells slid in a second goal making the score 3-2, Raiders ahead. The intensity picked up as did the Raider defense. Keeper Cam Kleiboer (14 saves), supported by the air-tight Raider backs, sealed a 3-2 win.

The Raiders record improved to 9-1-1 for the season. The team played Watertown Luther Prep at home on October 5th. The team travels to Cambridge on October 7th. Game times are 5:00 p.m. for Junior Varsity, and 6:45 p.m. for Varsity.
