JEROME GRUNNET

Jerome Grunnet, age 97, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born on September 4, 1923, the son of Theodor and Mildred (Waage) Grunnet near Blanchardville, and attended the Yellowstone School.
On September 24, 1949, he was united in marriage to Eunice Keehn at the Oregon Lutheran Church. Jerome was a life-long farmer. He had served as a supervisor for the Town of Brooklyn for seventeen years, an officer for AMPI for thirty years, member of F.S.A. for forty-three years, and as a director of the Union Co-Op for thirty-five years. He was a member of the Brooklyn Lutheran Church.
Jerome is survived by his daughters, Ardis Lohff and Marilyn (BJ) Mikkelson; grandchildren, Christopher (Chelsea), Hillary (Branden), Stacy (Jeremy), Ahren, Joshua, Mackensie (Ryan), and James (Joni); and ten great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, June Armstrong; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eunice; son, Steve Grunnet; brother, Glen Grunnet; sisters, Ethel Smith, Gladys Frautschy, and Charlene Anderson.
Private family services were held at 1:30 p.m., on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at the Brooklyn Lutheran Church, 101 Second Street, Brooklyn, WI, with Pastor Rebecca Ninke officiating. Friends and family were welcome to attend the graveside burial service at the Jug Prairie Cemetery, at the corner of Yarwood Road and Smith Road, Brooklyn, WI, at 2:30 p.m., on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
