DIANNE L. BARR

March 2, 2023

Dianne L. Barr

Dianne Louise (Lightfoot) Barr passed away February 19, 2023, after a six-year courageous battle with cancer. She was the eldest daughter and second oldest child of Louis and Esther (Nelson) Lightfoot, whose life began at Star Valley, Wisconsin, near Viroqua. In 1956, the Lightfoot family moved to and made cheese at Otter Creek Cheese Factory near Highland, Wisconsin.

Dianne's penchant for making the world around her come alive began with imaginative play, siblings by her side, including fishing or swimming in the creek, picking berries while walking the hills, and riding her horse, Goldie.

Dianne is survived by her two sons, Jamie (Nicole) Myers and Jason (Erzsi) Myers; four daughters, Jennifer Barr, Sarah Barr, Amanda (Greg) Barr, Katie (Andy) Westby; three grandsons, Garett Myers, Hunter Myers (Savanna), and Aiden Arons; brother, Jim (Anita) Lightfoot; sisters, Sharon (Lloyd) Lightfoot and Donna (Richard) Kastner.

Dianne was preceded in death by her father (1987) and mother (1999); sister, Joyce Elaine (1960); husband, David Barr (2004); life partner, Jerry Brendemuehl (2013); and son-in-law, Adam Arons (2022).

Special thanks for many laughs and great memories to "lifelong friends and travel buddies" Mary Danz and Ruth Anderegg. Thanks to sister, Donna, for all her compassion, kindness, and companionship. Thanks to Pastor Pluss for her spiritual support. Thanks to Grasse Funeral Home for their help and guidance. Thanks to Heartland Facility in Black Earth and Agrace Hospice care team for their amazing care and help for Dianne, as well as empathy for her family.
