Larry G. and Lynda J. Everson

Larry G. Everson, 79, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022, at the UW Hospital, Madison. Larry joined his wife, Lynda J. Everson, 75, who passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, at home. Larry and Lynda formerly lived in New Glarus, WI, and Necedah, WI, before relocating to Evansville, WI, this summer to be closer to family.

Larry, son of Ira and Augusta Everson, grew up in the Fennimore area and graduated from Fennimore High School in 1961. He worked as a plant manager at Swiss Colony in Monroe.

Lynda, daughter of Robert and Erma Paterson, grew up in Grosse Point, MI, before moving to Wisconsin towards the end of her high school career, graduating from Kenosha Tremper High School in 1965. Lynda graduated from UW-Madison with a Nursing degree and then furthered her education with multiple advanced learning degrees in the nursing field. Lynda was a Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner/Administrator at the VA Hospital in Madison.

Larry and Lynda had a love story like no other. They met in Madison, WI, and were married in September of 1969. They just celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this fall. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Lynda was a very active person and loved taking walks, quilting with her sister and mother, and continuing her love for her career. Even after retiring, she continued to work by administering exams to prospective nursing students. Larry loved to golf, feed birds, fish, hunt, and cook. They loved their retirement dream home on Lake Petenwell in Necedah, WI. They were both active members of the Petenwell and Castle Rock Stewards Association and the Southview Shores Homeowners Association.

Larry and Lynda are survived by their three sons, Jason (Jennifer) of Wimberly, TX, Scott (Ellen) of Evansville, WI, and Aaron (Dawn) of Waunakee, WI. Their grandchildren are Tess, Drew, Brinley, Wesley, Casen, Gannon, and Nyah. They are further survived by Larry's siblings, Sheri, Janie, and Kerry; and Lynda's siblings, Margie, Bob, Nancy, and Scott, among many brothers and sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews.

Larry and Lynda are preceded in death by their parents; Larry's siblings, Bonnie and Denny; brother-in-law, Billy; brother-in-law and great friend, John; nephew, Randy; and great-niece, Lenora.

Friends and family are invited to join the family in a Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at Larry's favorite place in Evansville, Trapper's Bar and Grill, from Noon-4:00 p.m.
